ABOUT  TARA DARRALL
Tara Darrall was born and raised in Canada and has been painting her whole life.  Art and creative expression were an integral part of her childhood having been raised by an Artistic Mother and  Father .

In her mid-twenties, Tara started exhibiting her work in out-door art exhibitions, small galleries, shops and cafes.  Tara always wanted to live and experience the cultures of other countries and subsequently lived , painted  and showed in Mexico, Belgium, Korea and Hong Kong, and now calls San Pedro, Belize her home.  Tara divides her time as owner and primary yoga teacher of Zen Belize, her family and painting.  Currently Tara is working on a series of LGBTQ themed-paintings in collaboration with a University roommate and the roommate’s  partner, in creating greeting cards.

Tara primarily works with acrylic paint on canvas. Her paintings draw your attention with their brightness and a feeling of capturing a moment in time, which she has experienced or imagined.   Tara exhibits the joys of life through vibrant colours, movement and composition.  Many enriching details are seen that adds layers to the visual context and the story. Tara‘s art allows us to experience the pure joy of seeing the world through fresh, naive eyes.  As an interpretive visual artist Tara Darrall's voice is strong, bright and clear.

Testmonials
Tara's paintings cleanse our eyes with their champagne high and bubble over with colour like peacocks on parade. Her canvas always seems so densely packed with everyday people from every tribe that they shimmer and sparkle intensely with the humanizing energy of wordless rituals where there is sharing or just being near.

Tara’s paintings are very detailed and she has a style all her own. One can always recognize her work because of her unique style. I bought one of her paintings some years ago and it hangs proudly on my wall.

I bought a painting from Tara maybe 20 years ago or so at Toronto City Hall Outdoor Art Exhibition.  It's been hanging ever since in a central location in my home.  It is often the center of discussions.  Tara's work evokes fond memories in those who have seen it and has made many people happy.  There are so many small themes taking place in this particular piece if you look closely at it and it reminds me of growing up in small town Ontario.
